Our Goal
Our goal is to provide a safe and loving environment for all our dogs but especially our whelping Momma's and their pups to grow and explore the world around them. It is a great privilege to be the first humans our pups grow to love and trust, and we strive to give them a safe, experience rich environment to grow in their first 8-9 weeks. In doing so we hope to provide loving families with a well socialized, trainable and stable companion for the whole family...not to mention an ADORABLE Furbaby!
Our History—Our Journey
As most people learn, life is a journey that always has its ups and downs. We too have had our share of ups and downs and are happy to share our journey with those who choose PeachesNCream Doodles. What we try to emulate is, always do your best at whatever you do. Give more than you take and always go the extra mile.
We are Kevin and Darcie Peters and we are not only raising our 4 boys out on the farm that Kevin grew up on, we have been blessed with a chance to have the dream job of taking care of dogs and puppies on land that's been in the family for over 100 years.
As with most journeys, the journey started long before we realized and overlapped with some special people, and so it is with PeachesNCream Doodles.
In 2003, Eugene and Carolynn Mau established PeachesNCream with the purchase of Dimitri, a rust-coloured golden retriever from Minnesota. In the beginning they raised only golden retrievers, but soon realized that most of their puppies were going to urban homes where they had the full run of the house and the idea of a non or low shedding dog seemed to be an attractive option. After quizzing a number of vets, they decided they wanted to try crossing a standard poodle with a golden retriever, after all 'Goldendoodles' were just becoming popular in Australia.
Soon Wolfgang was added to the family, a white standard poodle, with the sweetest and most gentlemanly personality they had ever experienced in a dog! Wolf went on to sire some of the most outstanding goldendoodles and became the foundation sire for PeachesNCream Goldendoodles. In 2008, Nina, an English type golden retriever became another significant contributor to the excellence of PeachesNCream Goldendoodles. Big-boned with a wide muzzle with a true service dog personality, she endeared herself to many and left a legacy of gorgeous pups with her sweet focused temperament.
These genetics live on today and are carefully preserved in the PeachesNCream breeding program. The Mau's lovingly raised F1 and F1b goldendoodle pups for families for 17yrs. It was the perfect occupation for a family that loved dogs and people and many of the puppy families became friends as well as PeachesNCream puppy owners.
In 2015, our family became a guardian home for PeachesNCream by adopting one of Nina and Montana's F1 puppies, who later became one of PeachesNCream's breeding Mommas.
Getting Dixie has changed our family in many ways, but the biggest impact was to introduce us to the world of breeding and whelping Goldendoodle puppies. Those first few litters we had to let go of were pretty difficult! There were lots of tears to say the very least!
In the fall of 2018 the Mau's offered us the opportunity to take over the day-to-day operations as they were looking to retire. It has been an incredible journey for our family to em-bark on this adventure, as well as a tremendous privilege to help bring gorgeous doodle puppies to their Fur-ever Families.
With every litter we raise for loving families, we raise our own boys and they grow up right along with them. We all have our favorite pups and still have a hard time letting go of them. Our favorite evenings are spent watching movies cuddling puppies. We love to get updates from our FurFamilies and everyone comes running to see an update from a pup.
We feel very blessed to be out on the farm loving our dogs. Along with loving puppies, we are happiest out riding the quad with our pack. We have a duck pond a mile away that the dogs love to go to, and it really is our happy place!
